In October 2018 Patricia was runner-up in the category of Outstanding Advocate
“This category recognises people who truly make a difference to the world through their advocacy practice. We are looking to celebrate individuals whose contribution has directly led to improvements or change for people or organisations”.
The judges stated that “Patricia has campaigned for the introduction of new Mental Health legislation on Jersey. Patricia is liked and valued by patients for her person-centred approach. She is strong, determined and fearless when defending the rights of metal health patients in a small jurisdiction. Vulnerable people in Jersey have in her a remarkably brave advocate and defender of their human rights”.
